Apple's next MacBook Air could be thinner, lighter and have just one plug

Apple is reportedly working on a major redesign of the MacBook Air.

The unconfirmed report states that Apple plans to redesign the MacBook Air into a 12-inch device that will be narrower than the current 11-inch MacBook Air but taller to accommodate a larger screen.

It adds that the new MacBook Air would have a slimmer bezel surrounding the screen and keyboard, and would also be thinner and lighter. The report, from 9to5Mac 's Mark Gurman, a journalist with a healthy track record in Apple-related leaks and scoops, cites "sources within Apple" who have used internal prototypes of the computer.
