LONDON — The UK already has several dedicated eSports teams, but now it's set to get its first ever arena dedicated to the pursuit.
The planned arena was revealed as the pro gaming company Gfinity announced plans to float on the stock market. With an estimated valuation of £13 million ($20 million), it's aiming to raise £3 million ($4.7 million) to fund the centre, which could accommodate up to 500 spectators at a time.
Gfinity, established in September 2012, offers gamers an online-subscriber-based gaming platform and organises live tournaments for fans of the sport. Read more...
