LG's line of TVs for 2015 are thinner than ever, boast lifelike color, as well as a streamlined interface for accessing online video.
Oh, and 4K will be everywhere.
The Korean company's lineup of LCD TVs include no less than eight different lines with 4K resolution (or in other words, 3,840 x 2,160 pixels). Although the company is saving specific models and prices for their unveiling at CES 2015, the sheer number of sets suggests 4K TVs at every price point.
The company's current cheapest 4K model sells for $1,200.
For some of its premium ColorPrime sets, LG is prioritizing color performance in a couple of different ways. First is a new kind of phosphor-based LED in the edge lighting of the sets. Second is the use of quantum-dot display technology, which uses extremely tiny crystals to bestow even greater control over color than in regular LCDs. Read more...
