Reddit just one-upped everyone's April Fools' Day pranks with confusion and mystery.
It's no secret that brands love to participate in the annual shenanigans to gain some free publicity. But Reddit decided to test everyone's ability to resist temptation.
The company announced a new interactive subreddit, r/thebutton, in a blog post on Wednesday.
In a very unreddit-like fashion, the post was short and sweet:

When this post is 10 minutes old, a button and timer will become active at /r/thebutton. The timer will count down from 60 seconds. If the button is pressed the timer will reset to 60 seconds and continue counting down. Only users logged into accounts created before 2015-04-01 can press the button.
You may only press the button once.
